We are hiring a QA Manager for an international retail technology company that is launching a new store platform across Europe. The platform combines payments, checkout, back-office operations and edge computing into a single connected system. It is being developed by in-house engineers together with external delivery partners, both onshore and offshore, and must pass integration, end-to-end, performance, security and acceptance testing before every go-live.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience as a QA Lead/Manager
Solid grasp of software testing principles and best practices
Advanced working knowledge of Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence
Proven track record on global, cross-functional, enterprise-scale retail technology projects
Experience collaborating with third-party onshore and offshore development partners
Hands-on test automation experience, including designing, building and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress) and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle
Familiarity with application integration principles and standards
Working knowledge of Agile methodology and practices
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office tools, including Project, Visio, Word and Excel
Experience leading local and distributed teams, including setting priorities, assigning work and tracking delivery
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

ITIL certification
Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification
PMP certification

Responsibilities:

Set the testing strategy, roadmap and approach for the European rollout
Coordinate testing activities with regional product managers, in-house developers and third-party technical teams
Define entry and exit criteria for each test phase and ensure they are met before moving on
Track and report progress across product, integration, end-to-end, performance, security and user acceptance testing
Deliver a weekly testing status report for the European programme
Gather approvals from the European team and contribute to go/no-go decisions on testing and deployment
Manage release management and version control for each test environment, including release contents, deployment windows and environment maintenance
Keep test environments stable and ready for use, and resolve any equipment or environment blockers
Share deployments, release notes, hotfixes and outages with leadership, partners, test leads and developers so they can plan re-testing
Keep testing progress and environment status current in Jira
Maintain test environment diagrams, data diagrams and other programme testing documentation
Lead a team of Test Analysts, ensuring plans are followed, tests are executed and results are reported
