Company Description

We’re the world’s leading sports technology company, at the intersection between sports, media, and betting. More than 1,700 sports federations, media outlets, betting operators, and consumer platforms across 120 countries rely on our know-how and technology to boost their business.

Job Description

ABOUT US:
The Live Data unit is responsible for the development, delivery, and global distribution of real-time sports data across a diverse range of sporting events. Through strong partnerships with rights holders, media organizations, and betting companies worldwide, the unit ensures the seamless provision of accurate, high-quality data across 30+ different sports disciplines, including e-sports.

Our international team develops and maintains a range of advanced platforms to integrate, manage, and analyse data from multiple sources.
The development team based in Wrocław focuses on:

In-Game Pipeline – a system for collecting source data, either manually captured by scouts during events or generated through AI-driven computer vision technology.

Prediction Markets – a system focus on reducing any latency and providing the ultra fast feed crafted for the client needs.

THE CHALLENGE:

This is a role for an engineer who wants to own things - not just deliver them. You will take complex technical initiatives from design through to production, work across a high-performing distributed team, and have real influence over the architecture and practices of a platform used by millions of people every day. The problems here are not manufactured. They are the kind that come from operating at genuine scale in a real-time, mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and operate scalable, high-performance Java services for sports data and betting products running 24/7
Take independent ownership of complex technical initiatives from initial design through to production delivery
Contribute to cloud-native architecture on AWS, bringing experience and judgment to decisions that affect the whole platform
Mentor engineers around you - through code review, pairing, and the kind of feedback that actually helps people grow
Drive improvements to code quality, test coverage, engineering practices, and team standards
Collaborate with product and engineering leadership on technical direction - and push back constructively when it matters
Build expertise in one of the most technically demanding real-time data environments in the industry

ABOUT YOU:

You are an experienced engineer who can independently design, build, and operate complex software systems. You enjoy solving challenging technical problems, mentoring teammates, and influencing engineering decisions beyond your immediate deliverables.

Required:

You have 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong Java expertise
You can design and deliver distributed systems in production, and you understand what it takes to keep them running
You take ownership of complex initiatives independently - from architecture decisions to post-incident reviews
You mentor others naturally and perform technical reviews that are direct, constructive, and useful
You have a deep understanding of testing strategy, CI/CD, and what engineering excellence looks like in practice
You communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders and know how to land a difficult message
Experience with AWS, Kafka, Kubernetes, and microservices at scale is a strong advantage

OUR OFFER:

A collaborative environment with colleagues from all over the world (Engineering offices in Europe, Asia and US)
Ability to shape your own workday and career via a clearly defined professional and personal development plan
Opportunity to work with senior leadership team and develop yourself within an inspiring and fast-growing company
Vibrant and inclusive community, including Women in Tech and Pride groups which welcome all participants
Flexible working hours

OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS:

Initial Screening - A brief conversation with our Talent Acquisition Partner to review your background, experience, and expectations.

Technical Task - A take-home coding assignment designed to reflect our daily work, completed at your convenience.

Technical Interview - An in-depth discussion on your submitted coding task, including a review of your thought process, live coding exercises, and a system design discussion tailored to the level of the role.

Cultural Fit Interview - A conversation with Senior Management to assess your ability to work in a matrix organization and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the business.

Final Step - Receive feedback and, if successful, an offer!

We believe great products are built by great teams working closely together. While we offer flexible working hours, this role is fully office-based, as we strongly value in-person collaboration, knowledge sharing, fast decision-making, and team connection. We see working together onsite as a key driver of innovation, learning, and success.
