At cloudatus, we help midsize and large international organizations design, implement and modernize their IT infrastructure across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments.
We seek new talents to join our engineering teams and contribute to international infrastructure projects, where we combine technical expertise with a practical, hands-on approach to solving complex IT challenges.
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will join our Professional Services team, delivering international IT infrastructure migrations, transformations and carve-out projects.
Unlike traditional infrastructure administration roles, this position focuses primarily on project delivery rather than day-to-day infrastructure maintenance. You will work across different customer environments, participate in technical discovery, implement infrastructure changes and support migrations from initial assessment through implementation and cutover.
The role is primarily remote, with occasional business travel to customer locations in Poland and abroad during selected project phases.
At cloudatus, you will:
Participate in international IT infrastructure migration, transformation and carve-out projects.
Analyze existing customer infrastructure environments, architectures and technical dependencies.
Take part in technical discovery sessions and workshops with customer IT teams.
Design, configure and implement infrastructure changes required for migrations and transformations.
Build, configure and migrate Windows Server environments and core Microsoft infrastructure services.
Work with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, File Services and Certificate Services.
Support infrastructure separation, consolidation and migration between existing and newly created IT environments.
Configure and manage virtualization environments based on VMware, Hyper-V or Proxmox.
Participate in server, application, file services and database migration activities.
Work with backup, storage and monitoring solutions during infrastructure transformation projects.
Support migrations between on-premises, hybrid and Microsoft Azure environments.
Participate in migration and cutover activities, including implementation, testing, troubleshooting and validation.
Identify technical risks, dependencies and potential migration blockers, proposing practical solutions.
Cooperate with network, cloud, security and other engineering teams during complex transformation projects.
Create and maintain infrastructure diagrams, technical documentation, migration procedures and handover materials.
Work directly with international customers, vendors and technical stakeholders, including on-site project activities when required.
Required technical and professional expertise:
Very good knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server environments and core infrastructure services.
Strong hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, File Services and Certificate Services.
Practical experience in configuration and management of at least one virtualization platform (VMware, Hyper-V or Proxmox).
Hands-on experience with backup and monitoring solutions in enterprise infrastructure environments.
Practical experience with server, application and/or database migrations.
Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and hybrid infrastructure environments.
Good understanding of infrastructure dependencies across servers, storage, virtualization, networking and applications.
Strong analytical thinking, structured troubleshooting skills and a practical approach to solving technical problems.
Ability to work independently, take ownership of technical activities and adapt to different customer environments.
Good communication skills and confidence in working directly with customer technical teams.
Willingness to travel to customer locations in Poland and abroad when required by the project.
English language skills at minimum B2 level, enabling effective communication with international customers and technical teams.
Nice to have:
Experience in IT infrastructure migration, transformation or carve-out projects.
Practical experience with Active Directory migrations, domain separation or consolidation.
Experience migrating workloads between on-premises environments, data centers and Microsoft Azure.
Experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V migrations.
Knowledge of backup platform migrations, infrastructure redesign or disaster recovery solutions.
Experience with storage and file server migrations.
Familiarity with Linux-based operating systems.
Experience with PowerShell scripting and infrastructure automation.
Experience working with multi-site or international enterprise infrastructure environments.
Participation in technical workshops, implementation projects or customer-facing migration activities.
Relevant Microsoft, VMware or infrastructure certifications
