Rakuten Viber is one of the most popular and downloaded apps in the world. Working with us provides a unique opportunity to influence hundreds of millions of users and be part of the journey that makes us a true super-app. Our mission is to make people’s lives easier by enabling meaningful connections—from sharing precious moments with family, to managing business relationships and pursuing passions. We are also rapidly expanding our ecosystem into the fintech space with Viber Pay, simplifying how our global community manages and moves money.
We’re looking for an experienced, highly analytical Product Manager in the Fintech domain who can turn complex data into actionable product initiatives. You will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for a core part of Viber Pay – Viber’s fintech product suite – working at the intersection of product-led growth, compliance, marketing, fraud, and legal across multiple markets. Product Managers at Viber lead all aspects of their product and drive cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes. You will own the product backlog, UX, and feature definition, continuously striving to improve KPIs through rigorous experimentation and data analysis.
Responsibilities
- End-to-end ownership: Drive the product lifecycle from ideation to launch for your area of Viber Pay. Define clear success metrics, own the KPIs, and continuously iterate based on post-launch performance data.
- Decide with data: Use experimentation, cohort analysis, and funnel tracking to validate hypotheses and prioritize the roadmap.
- Eliminate friction relentlessly: Dive deep into behavioral data and user journey mapping to identify critical UX bottlenecks and reduce drop-off.
- Integrate compliance intelligently: Build elegant user flows that meet strict Risk, Fraud, and KYC requirements, using data to strike the right balance between security and seamlessness.
- Scale globally: Factor local market data, user trends, and regional fintech behaviors into product decisions across Viber Pay’s markets.
- Lead and inspire your squad: Guide a dedicated team of engineers and designers, fostering a culture where product decisions are backed by data while aligning seamlessly with Support, Marketing, and Compliance.
Requirements
- 7+ years as a Product Manager in the Fintech or Consumer Payments space (e.g., digital wallets, card products or money movement).
- Strong B2C mobile app experience with a deep, quantitative understanding of mobile user behavior and UX optimization.
- Exceptional analytical skills: a proven track record of using product analytics platforms to diagnose problems, build hypotheses, run experiments, and drive outcomes.
- Commercial mindset: understands the business and unit-economics levers behind a fintech product, and connects product decisions to revenue, cost, and growth outcomes.
- Cross-functional leadership: a strong leader with excellent interpersonal skills who can use data to build consensus and drive alignment across diverse teams.
- Communication: fluent English with the ability to translate complex data and product concepts into clear, compelling narratives for stakeholders.
- 0-to-1 consumer product experience – you’ve built something from scratch.
Advantages
- Experience building or scaling a fintech product in a regulated, multi-market environment.
- Familiarity with fraud and risk systems in a consumer payments context.
- Experience with payments infrastructure (card networks, issuing/acquiring, or open banking APIs).
