We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our Talent Pool for upcoming international software development projects.
At Kyotu Technology, we collaborate with clients on web applications, enterprise platforms, SaaS products, and complex software systems across different industries.
We are looking for someone who combines strong test automation skills with a solid understanding of software quality processes and a proactive approach to improving testing practices.
The ideal candidate can independently develop and maintain automated testing solutions for web applications and APIs, contribute to testing strategies, and communicate confidently with international stakeholders in German and English.

🧠 Your responsibilities
design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and test suites
create and execute automated tests for web applications and REST APIs
develop and maintain test strategies, test plans, and regression test suites
perform functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing
integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
identify, document, and track defects in cooperation with development teams
support release testing, assess quality risks, and provide recommendations on release readiness
analyze requirements and identify potential quality issues early in the development process
improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and overall QA practices
collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and international stakeholders
communicate testing progress, findings, and risks in German and English
🧩 Must haves
minimum 5 years of commercial experience in software QA
strong hands-on experience in test automation, including designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks
practical experience with web UI test automation using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
experience with API testing and automation using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or pytest
ability to design and maintain test strategies, test plans, and regression test suites
experience with manual, functional, integration, and exploratory testing
experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
good understanding of software development processes, testing methodologies, and QA best practices
experience with Git and issue-tracking tools such as Jira
ability to independently organize testing activities, identify risks, and recommend improvements
strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
experience collaborating with international clients or distributed engineering teams
German at B2+ level, including confidence in technical discussions and meetings
English at B2+ level
✨ Nice to have
experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android
knowledge of mobile test automation tools such as Appium, XCUITest, or Espresso
programming skills in Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript
experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, k6, or Locust
experience testing microservices and distributed systems
familiarity with Docker and cloud environments
experience testing complex enterprise or SaaS platforms
practical experience using AI-assisted development and testing tools, such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or ChatGPT
experience coordinating QA activities or mentoring other QA engineers
knowledge of security or accessibility testing
